Planting a church is just plain tough! The last I checked, the odds are against us! Almost 1/2 of all church starts do not exist after 5 years. By all natural inclinations, we should quit! I mean come on – it’s time-consuming, (and with little or no pay), then you carry the weight of the ministry.  To top it off, some people seem to major in the minor things, and that’s enough to make you want to throw in the towel.

That is a lot to deal with especially in the startup phase.

Here is the key though. God is with us! Planting a church is not something we do for the pay, just for the experience, or solely for the fun of it! We do this because God called us to do so. That alone keeps us in the ministry. That alone is enough!

As we see in this video: we can overcome large obstacles if we stay diligent! We can overcome anything the enemy throws at us!

Zechariah 4:6 (The Message)

Then he said, “This is God’s Message to Zerubbabel: ‘You can’t force these things. They only come about through my Spirit,’ says God-of-the-Angel-Armies. ‘So, big mountain, who do you think you are? Next to Zerubbabel you’re nothing but a molehill. He’ll proceed to set the Cornerstone in place, accompanied by cheers: Yes! Yes! Do it!’”
