Many who are reading this are familiar with the following passage of scripture:

Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me;

It sounds to me like we should have died to “self”.

News Flash:

Some of us didn’t die; we only fainted. Now we’re waking up, and afraid to truly die. You see, “Dead” men and women don’t live in fear. It doesn’t even make sense. God is calling us to be brave! How many times has He told us to be bold and courageous? Now, how many times have you followed through?

I can anticipate the pushback from those strong statements.

I am 100% aware that we are following Jesus in a fallen world which can seem scary and downright intimidating. If we are genuinely #TeamJesus and following Him doesnt seem the least bit scary, maybe you need to ask yourself – is it Jesus I am following?.

When you have choen sides in a battle, it would only seem natural to do battle with the opposing team, right?

We should be representing Jesus 24/7. Everyone is in full-time ministry because Jesus is not our part-time Lord!

Some thoughts to consider:

  • We are His ambassadors.
  • Ambassadors represent the One who sent them.
  • Ambassadors don’t share their opinions; they share the views of the Sender.
  • The goal of the Ambassador is not to play it safe but to be obedient to the mission.
  • Being His representative may not always seem fun, but it will always be worth it.

When Father God sent Jesus to this world in the flesh, I am willing to bet Jesus didnt ask Him – ok Father… but is it safe? Jesus simply obeyed!
